i own a 03' 300ex an i just noticed an oil leak a few days ago. it looks like its coming from the case because oil was all over my left heel guard. when i took the front sprocket off i wiped all the oil off the case an looked for any cracks in the case. I didnt find any cracks but i started it an i heard air coming out of the bearing that the shaft that the sprocket rides on.you can feel air coming out of that part but the bearing looks ok. only leaks when runnng though. any help would be great.

$ 6.44 and not hard to replcace. just be careful putting the new one in. use a socket the same diameter as the seal to knock it in,

a flat head will work and you dont need to drain the oil.

i took the sprocket off an the shaft moves in an out about a qtr. inch, if u move it all the way out it doesnt leak air but if u push it in it does. jus wondering if it could be somethin else besides the seal. thanks.
