anybody know why ex's are harder to push around with the clutch in than when its in neutral? maybe a dumb question but im curious. lol

When the driveline and engine are disconnected by pulling the lever in while in gear, you still have to overcome some friction as the clutch plates slip past one another. That's not a factor when in neutral. In neutral, the disconnection between the engine and the driveline happens after the clutch, inside the transmission.
