was told about some front elkas for a 400 today. they are triple rate, piggy back. the guy wants $400 for them. i think i will have to have them revalved, they are set up for a 180-200 pound person, i only weigh 120. about how much would a revalve cost me?

I would contact elka and they would be able to tell you exactly, but I would think about 150 for botch of them to be revalved.

That big of a weight difference you are probably looking at new springs also. They get expensive. I needed one for my rear Axis shock and the dang spring was like 80 bucks

Talk to Colby@C&D, he'll get them working better than elka will and it will probably cost less as well.

You will need new springs and valving for that much of a weight difference, but contact him and find out.

how much of a difference would it make if i just kept them as they are? you have to add in the wieght of riding gear, plus i am still growing, and gaining weight.

You would probably get used to them if you just kept them the way they are...my set of axis are sorta like that.I just ride them.its on my practice quad tho..Just revalve when you get the money!
