I was wondering if anyone had any serious problems with their KFX's? Im interested in getting one and was just getting some info on it. Thanks, Jay

Nope, with regular maintenance they are pretty solid quads. With the o3's tho the frame cracks with real agressive riding

unless u have gussets and long travel suspension :D

Ya but most people aren't doing 50 ft jumps and jumping off a cliff. So for your average rider like my self those probably won't be necesary.

make that 90ft jumps :cool: haha yeha if i didnt race id def. be watching out for something like that but i think my chances are cut pretty slim

So you think it would be good for me to not go with an '03? With the frame cracking and everything?

The 03's aren't horrible, there are just better model years out there. In my riding group we have an 03', and 04', and an 05'. All are solid and we have not had any trouble out of any of them.

The 03'/04' models just don't have as strong of a frame design, but that doesn't mean they're going to fall apart of you look at them wrong either. The worst thing about the 03' was the stock chain adjustment on the swingarm. It works, but is not very strong and the bolts are known to seize up and break. Again, not every last one of them does this, but it is something to be aware of.

If I found a good deal on ANY model year Z I would not pass it up because of any of these problems. Its just issues that are good to be aware of and address IF neccesary.
