i have a 2006 yfz450SE and it has UNI filter TC full shorty exhaust jetted cam mod air box lid off setup for mx has 18x10-9 rears and 20x6-10 fronts im lookin to build the motor up for next season i race the open 4stroke A&B class and have pulled a few holeshots so far this season with stock motor against some highly built 450r's and yfz's im lookin for some mods to do for the motor to pull really hard out of corners and have great bottom and mid range power i thought bout some new cams and high comp piston like a 12:1 ratio just lookin for some ideas from some motocross guys out there thanks

13.1 piston, dont go any bigger than that, you'll be replacing cranks quite often if you do. Oversized valves and port work and that should make a pretty strong and reliable motor.

i thought bout a 13:1 but then id have to run striaght race gas

You can mix it with 97 and make it last longer. 13.1 is the way to go though if your wanting a strong *** motor that pulls hard. Hell if your running open build a 4mm stroker motor with a 42mm FCR carb and a big 14.5 piston with the Falicon Knife rod crank, it's pretty much indestructable. You can also go big bore with all that but your looking at some serious funding either way.......

nahh im eventually goin to run nationals and need to stay within the specs i just want to build it strong and fast as hell i can already pull a holeshot on stock motor but its hard as hell

Well if your going to do that, throw a 13.1 in it and get some port work done and 1mm bigger valves and you should have a cheap(er) built race motor thats fast. Just remember that its 85% rider.
