I have XC's and love em...the xcr's do slide a bit easier thoughhh...so if i were you,i'd go w/ whatever one you want,there bnoth great,the only diff is tread,and the XCR is 19in,not 20

The XCr is actually about 1/2 to 1/4 of an inch shorter than the XC. Side By Side comparison is my method of determining this.

your measurment mite say 1/2 to 1/4 inch difference, but try and tell that to my 3 trashed swingarm skid plates. mine measured 1 inch shorter than xc.

Please don't kill me. :( That was just an observation w/ no measuring tools whatsoever.

no flame, just saying what my measurements were. i really like how the tires work, i just wish they were a little taller. also i had three punchures this year, two on the top and one sidewall.

It depends on what you are using them for. If you need little extra clearance or are using them for nasty desert areas they work pretty well.

If you are using them for TT or MX, it would not be a good choice of tires.

Here in Arizona, I use both the 20"(R) & 22"(F) and 22"(R) & 23"(F) sizes depending on where I am going or the conditions I will be encountering on a particular days ride. The taller tires work better in the tight hills & washes and rocky areas whereas the shorter shots work better in the more open, faster types of desert.

Either way, at least for me, I've done a lot of R&D with quite a few different tire makes in desert environments and the Holeshot XC, XCT and XCR are the ticket. The Razrs are good after a rain or slightly wet conditions but don't hook up very well (both in forward and side bite) in the normal "loose top/hard bottom" conditions that are normally encountered in the AZ desert. In the slightly wet conditions, the Razrs (in both the tall and short sizes) are the ticket then.

HTH

isnt the tread pattern differnt on the xcr also. dont they have the knobbies on the edge of the tire placed at a 45* angle, or does the xc have that too????

what happens is they slide better in the turns but then they bite if u go ne farther.

ann yes their is a different tread pattern on the 2 tires xcrs have bigger tread and angle full x on the side while the xcs just have half x. i believe that the xcr is superior to the xc.

Comparing the XC versus the XCR... The XCR's, with same gearing, should give you a little more "punch" when you hit the throttle due to the lighter weight and smaller diameter than the XC's. The XCR's are an excellent choice... But if you want or need more ground clearance and want your tires to last a littel longer, I would recommend the XC's. If you want a direct replacement for your stockers, and you have no problems with ground clearance with your stockers, I highly recommend the XCR's!:)

As for the XCT's, great setup, but it takes some getting used to. The 22" rear tires add alot of weight which robs some power, but the added clearance has been a blessing on some of trails the Northeast part of the country offers! They definitely do not slide like the XC's or the XCR's do!:(

xc's do well in powder snow, but wet snow is very questionable.
