Quick question, i have the same year z71 (love the truck) except in white. What kinds of lifts are you running, and how much did they cost you? I am looking into the possibility of lifting mine. Yours looks great BTW

thanks

400ex28 is right....6 inch bds suspension, 3 inch body lift.....a 4 inch lift would NEVER on its best day even with the Tbars cranked to the max would clear 37s

to answer other questions its got 133k miles on it....it had 111 on it when i bought it...i also bought it with all the lift and wheels on it....

the only thing ive added to the truck since i bought it is slotted and drilled brake rotors, and a LED 3rd brake light.

the bds lift cost anywhere from 1800 to 2100, and the 3 inch bds body cost about 300 dollars.

diesel here is over 4 a gallon. F-that....i love the 5.3 motor they respond to mods really well...they are by far one of the best motors chevy ever put in a truck....they are about as reliable as an old iron block 350

yeah it almost 5 here, it sucks, i got the 6.0 in my HD, i wish it had a little more balls though

How dark are your windows?

TCracin440ex

they are 2.5% i love em' only time i dislike them is at night time backing up haha. the 6.0 has never really impressed me too much. them lil 5.3s scream tho... you can rev them to the moon and not worry about them grenading.

6.0 and it aint got that much balls what you got done to it...intake and programmer and exhaust will wake these trucks up night and day

i want a cowl hood for my truck, headers, a cherrybomb exhaust, (got blowmaster now) and i want to get an intake and programmer as well...im subject to drop 4.56 gears back in it F/R

damn! and i thought my 15% was dark, ahahah

I just have an exhaust, no money right now for anything else, haha

yeah i love the 5.3, very responsive motor, i just broke 100,000 on mine the other week. i'll have to snap some picks of her. i would love to save up some cash to jack it up a little but as of now it just has tires, intake, and an exhaust (sounds awesome)
so i'm pretty happy right now

bad *** z71 though man

on another note, what kind of exhaust system would you recommend? My pipes rusted out right at the can so i'm running no pipes (SOB is loud), it was a flowmaster. I'm leaning towards a stainless system so i won't run into the problem again, i was just currious if you knew of any ones in specific.

thanks

For 37s, I hope you have geared her down, or never pull anything. One of my friends has stock gearing and 35s. It literally shifts itself to death. Another friend of mine has 35s with 4.56 gearing. It's a little steep for 35s, but he plans on running 37s when these tires wear out, so it should be about right. I think he runs a superchips programmer, or maybe hypertech. Can't remember, but it was pretty friendly to adjust gear ratios and tire sizes for the odometer and speedometers sake.

What do you get for mileage out of that with 37"s? Nice looking truck. I would search around for some custom tunes for your truck instead of a box stock programmer. usually they can be had for the same price but with more power and better shifting.

i dont know what the mileage is getting but it aint very good im going to get a diablo sport predator thats one of the best on the market without going to a custom tune....if i go to a custom tune its going to be a wheatley
