I run without an air box lid and i have a k&n. I also have an aluminum air box; my rear plastics if you look underneath have about 1" to 1-1/2" gap between the bottom of the seat and the air box. Can i ride in the rain or wet conditions safely?

put on a "Outerwears", or K&N powerlid, and you'll be fine.

lol you can ride in the rain as long as its not a 2-stroke because high horse power and rain dont mix.... i really had sum guy tell me that at a race before lol.

i rode my 400ex at croom when it was hurricae type rain and it rained so hard so quick it was like a flash flood, i had open air box K&N with the outerwears didnt realize it at the time but I stopped after a good 15 minutes of hard riding when it was liek that and checked, nothing got past he outerwear so i continued to rie on and nothing got in the whole day. Some sand/mud went onto the outerwear but it didnt leak trough it dried and fell off

outwears are the best 18$ you can spend on a minor mod. i got one and i rode in every weather condition. as long as you do a good job on the velcro youll be fine. i love my outwear. you can hose it down to clean and dont even touch it and itll look like new again.

rockymountainatv was the cheapest for just the outerwear and the airbo cover was cheapest at motosport, i would order both at motorsport so you sae shipping cost from both places
