What do you guys think about the air box covers that have holes on the top. Is it worth it?

Well I think it is worth it. It will give you better air flow. I know some people that don't even ride with a air box lid. I would just drill holes

If I have a K&N filter and the cover precharger do you think I can get away with not having a cover? Disadvantages?

depends on where you ride.... if you ride through deep cricks no, if they are very shallow be care full.... make sure you clean the filter and outerwear often...... u may have to rejet alos..... mine kept fouling plugs so i put the lid back on till i get some jets

i run with mine off. but i dont trail ride with mine wouldnt think it would be bad to run with it off with what you got a precharger and a k@n that is what i run with mine. but if you are planning on doing alot of trail riding i would put it back on

Well to me I would just drill the holes instead of leaving it off.

I dont see the point in ruining an air box lid. If you really want to change something then just leave it off all together. Also I really don't think that putting holes in or even removing it does that much of a differance. I tried it on my 250 and blaster and didn't think it was really worth the added risk to my k&n and my engine.
