i saw a 2007 CBR600rr. its red/black. has 21 miles on. says need to sell. asking $7,500. i know its a good deal, and i really need a sportbike, but not for at least a year and i dont think im gonna spend quite that much. i was thinking about buying it then re-selling it. good or bad idea:confused:

btw i havent seen any pictures or seen the bike so i dont know what kind of condition its in or anything yet, but it says never downed. im guessing pretty good condition since it only has 21 miles.

you might be able to make 500off of it but i wouldnt think much more than that. for a bike pretty much brand new why dont you just keep it

Any machine (be it car, motorcycle, or quad) is going to drop 20% just coming off the showroom floor. It's a decent price if you're looking for one yourself, because those situations are fairly rare. But I can't see you making a significant amount of money on it as a quick resale.

yea i didnt think i would really make that much, but it seemed like a good deal. as for keeping it, thats exactly what im looking for but i dont have the money now, im only 16. im gettin there though, working 75 hrs a week.

we found a good deal on a ninja 250. 07 with 50 miles for $2000. they go for between 3 and 4000 new. my parents said either get a smaller bike when your 16 then a big one at 17 or else wait till your 18 to get a 600. plus the resale value on the ninja 250s is good, i doubt ill lose hardly anything when i sell it next year.

i would buy it. if gas keeps going up (which i think it will) more people will be looking for bikes and you know that their will be a guy that wants to save gas but yet look good while doing it.

I've never paid what the Honda website says for any quad I've ever purchased. There are plenty of dealers that sell for out the door less than Honda quotes as retail.

It doesn't always work out that way. First you can only ride the thing in nice weather. So for half the year its sitting in storage while you're still making payments on it. Yes the gas mileage is better. However you end up putting new tires on it every 1500-2500 miles (dependent on the tire and the rider) plus maintenance and insurance... it just isn't worth it sometimes.

No I would definitely not buy that bike to try and resell it. While it may be a good deal, not a lot of people have $7500 laying around for toys anymore.

OK i guess not then. if i was looking for a new bike right now, i thnik thats the direction i would go.

someone told me suzukis wiping out the gixxr 750:huh true?i know they sell a lot and i think thats what i want because everyone around here has a 600. but they said ninja dropped the zx7r and no one else really makes one that size so zukis dropping the 750:confused:

Good choice on passing up the bike.. No body has 7500 cash for toys these days and banks are getting more strict on lending for non essential items. My bud works at a large dealer and they are a having a hard time getting well qualified people loans for bikes. Plus you can get a brand new 07 left over gsxr 600 for 7500 out the door, and thats what you would be competing with.

really dont think u can compare a 600rr to a gsxr 600..i believe the 600rr is the best 600 out on the market, esp. the 08s..if u plan on keeping the bike..the 07 for 7500 pending you may talk him down to say 7300 or 7200 would be an awesome deal if u got cash...if u gotta finance def.. get a bigger bike...brickyard kawi i think in michigan sells zx10s for under 10,000 which would be a better deal..u finance a 600 you end up paying so much money for a 600 its not even worth it..or save up and buy like an 03-05 used honda, kawi for 3000-5000 in the litre bike category...i know i wish i could sell my bike...

yea i really like the 600rrs. plus ive always been a honda guy. when i get a bike it will probably be a 600rr unless i find a good deal on a gsxr750.

would a 1000 be too much for me coming off a ninja 250? i do have experience on a bike, and i know a lot of guys just starting out get 600s.
