ok i just did the choke mod this morning and it said to remove a clip? i couldnt find that clip i took the butterfly off and then pulled that black cover off adn the rod slid out this is waht i have right now.

is this all that has to be done? am i good to put the carb back in?

whats the point of this anyways,sometimes my bike needs tyhe choke to start if it is not started everyday

i dont even no ha i just red it gave you better throttle responce so i did it and i dont ride in winter anyways.. so i dont need a choke they said if you put a 142 pilot jet you dont need your choke but it is not a big deal to me anyway because i dont need it.

Removing the choke adds a little more power, but not too much. If you put in a 42 pilot jet, it will make starting it up in colder temperatures MUCH easier. You wont need to use the choke at all!

Stocks 400ex's are "cold blooded" and they come with a 38 pilot jet but if you put a 42 in, it makes it soo much easier to start.
