450er throttle hosuing

08 450er. Any way to put a different throttle housing on? Is there a way to eliminate the tps wiring? Not much room on pro taper contour bars.

You can put on a 04-05 450r style throttle and then just solder the wires together coming out of the housing down by the disconnect plug under the front hood.

I have a 400ex throttle. Could i use that? What is soddering the tps wires going to do? Is it a saftey or is the quad going to run differently?

Yes, you can use the 400ex housing. It will have a easier pull to it anyway, especially if you use a 90ex lever.;) Soldering is better, but you can just a butt connector to connect them. The TPS is a safety feature that you don't really need. It will run fine as long as you connect the wires.
