Hey guys I feel stupid for asking this but I just can't seem to remember how to figure out what size chain I need. I run 14 38 gearing on a stock length 89 swing arm and just snapped my chain over the weekend and I have a race this weekend comming. please help me asap!
Thanks,
Victor

i wouldnt be asking if i still had the chain. dad saw it broken on the bench and threw it out this morning. no reason to be sarcastic i thought it was a simple question. do i need to clarify that for you?

I'd try a 94 link. Once the 94 stretches it may need to have a couple links cut off, but if you try a 92 it may be to short.

By the way, who are you talking too? Clarify what?

according to the manual. the 88-89 had a 13/38 gearing and a 91 pin chain. as mentioned. i'd get a 94 or 96 link and cut it down if need be.

That's what I would also recommend. I wouldn't worry about trying to order a chain that's exact length, I'd order one that you KNOW is several links too long, and cut it to size.
