no spark anymore???why??quik help please

oK so i rode about 10miles then into a old abandon lot in which had really tall grass , rode throught that then started back up to the road, then my 1985 Honda ATC200X(with 200S motor) jist died. my question is why would it jist die all of a sudden??

Could be any of which you listed. Is it getting spark? What have you checked so far?

You should at least check to make sure it is getting spark first.
Pull the plug and attach the coil to the plug, hold the plug against the frame and hit the starter. You should be able to see a good visible spark. If no spark from original plug, replace the plug and try again. Let us know what happens.

it have an air filter maybe it sucked somthing into the carb or maybe the plug or a ring went bad try cleaning the carb an a new plug if it gets spark

Well if it sat for a while the jet might be clogged. If you put 2 stroke gas in a 4 stroke, or if its 2 stroke too much oil. Points if its old enough, cdi, since you said there was tall grass maybe one snagged a couple wires out of the plug. If the ignition runs off the battery take the connections of the terminal and steel wool the wire and the terminals. Is the spark plug making a good connection? Check the gap on the plug. Put a screw driver in the plug boot and turn it over. if it shocks you and the plug doesnt spark then the ceramics busted in the plug. good luck!!
