i was just at my last xc race and they had everyone go to a dbs meter that part was fine but when i got the reading from them that is were the problem started. first my 2005 450r has a bills full pipe and just put new packing in it and a cone spark arester, air box lid is on with a k@n if that matters no motor work or head work the meter read my quad at 98 dbs i dont know how loud it really is they tested at idle and the tester was about 6 inches from my tailpipe. so my friend also went with his bone stock 450r and they read him the same way and he read a 92dbs i know his will be quieter but they said that if itr reads 99 or more than we cant race next time i was wondering if anyone thinks the meter might be off. if not how do i quiet mine down thanks. oh came in 5 out of 13 not bad for my secound race ever racing 20+c class
