Seems like everytime my 450 is broke and I ride the 400 I get hurt. Those are from the heat sinks on the left side of the motor, I think I got a little close. I didnt even notice it until it was too late. Hurts like a *****.

and i feel ur pain..
when i was 12-13 i had a foot slip off a peg on a 3wheeler got stuck..out side calf had skin ripped off by the tire..inner thigh 3rd degree burn from the motor..
**** hurt like hell

but i was a dumb child and tried to wash it off with cold water which hurt even worse..
but a BA that i am..i was back riding within a half hour..

not til the next weekend i went to visit mom did i get yanked to the hospital to find out how bad it was ..but the nurse lady across the street gave me some good stuff for it so doc said im taken care of it perfectly..keep doing it and itll be fine...neosporin is all he recommended and really..i can Barely see the scar under the hairy leg haha :D

Oh well its healing ok and just itches really bad now. Annoying as hell. I've been ran over by a pick up and had a broken neck so I'm sure I can handle this.......

As I sit here with my removable walking cast on left ankle. My 400ex broke my lower leg(fibula). Over the bars! Should be off this week hopefully. 6 weeks total roughly.

anyway, yea i got burned a couple times from the exhaust and shorts...and it dont feel good, but i seem to ride it with shorts on still from time to time...we never learn lol :rolleyes:

yeah she liked to be on it rapped out.......... She was ALWAYS up for a ride so I had to just buy her one.

I am learnin this time. You dont dare do that on an R. That headpipe will melt your leg not just burn it........

i was doing some trail riding yesterday and the 400 got so hot that i almost burned my legs through my pants...it took three hrs before the bike was cool enough to tough the engine

Acouple years ago I was riding my brothers 400, (which is mine now)(was). I was wearing nylon pants...He had a big gun header on it...Ya burnt the nylon onto my skin didn't scar but god d**** did it hurt like a B*****.
