im not sure how to take off my axle i got the sproket, brake rotor, hubs off just what else do i need to take off so i can slide the axle out?

ok i got everything off just when i try to take off the nut, the axle keeps on spinning what can i do to stop it from spinning? is there any tips anyone could give me on taking the axle out just making sure i spin it to the left dont i?

put 2 bolts on the sprocket back on and put the chain on. Then put your quad in gear, that should stop teh axle from turning.

o yeah, i think the axle on your quad is backward threaded too.

if u undo the axle nut when the quad has everything on it like the tires and put it in gear it helpz alot! That should be the first theing u do!

is the axal nut threaded backwards to prevent it from spinning off with the rotation of the tires?

The axle nut is pretty easy to get off. Your best bet is to have one or two people hold the wheels and then you spin the bolt. Mine was on really tight so I used a pipe. After that the side of the axle nut is on pull it out and it should slide out pretty easy.

u have to tighten the locknut towards the left side then take the clip out then un tighten it

the best way to do it is to get 2 pipe wrenches put one on the axle touching the ground so when the tires start to spin it will lock on then with the other wrech simply loosen the nut, so you dont have to put everything back on.

i also need to remove my axel. i gotta put in a new carrier bkuz my is worn out. when i put the axle back on, do i put the carrier in the swing arm then pus the axle threw?

yes but make sure you grease up the bearring carrier very good. if you need one just pm me and i get a price on one. thanks alot mike
