I was reading on the internet and came across a site saying that i can use a CO2 bottle for a nitrous bottle. They kept metioning using a fire extinguisher bottle, but i wonder if you can use a tank for a paintball gun. can anyone shine in on this.

thanks in advance

Hmm, I've got a 12oz CO2 tank sitting right here on the desk.. If it will work I might have a grenaded bottom end to go along with yours

A 15 lb bottle on a quad would be HUGE. That's like the size of your gas tank.

A CO2 bottle will hold N2O just fine.

vapor pressure of CO2 @ 70 F = 5865 kPa (850 psi)
vapor pressure of N2O @ 70 F = 5238 kPa (760 psi)

A standard 1200 PSI CO2 bottle will store Nitrous Oxide at room temperature.

However N2O is effected a LOT more by temperature change so it would be very important to keep it away from effects of heat sources such as your engine, exhaust, or direct sunlight.

the fittings are different.

I know very little of N2O fittings.

I was excluding any fitting issue, of course.
I was only commenting on the fact that a CO2 tank should be sufficent to store N20 under controlled situations.

i was aware of the fittings issue, but i dont think that it would be to hard to put on the right fittings.
