what's it worth?

I'm looking for the left side inner case of my 86' motor. I have found a couple but one close to home has my attention. The guy has emailed me 3 times talking about it but won't send pics, and won't discuss pricing. So, what does one of these things go for?:ermm:

Brand new set of inner case halves - $650 at ESR.

I'd say around 200 bucks, more or less depending on condition.

But I would make sure you get pics, definitely.

If you ain't PO. My advice, just fork out the dough on the new ones with bearings.

There are only two reasons people sell cases.
1. Motor blew and they are parting out the machine/motor
2. Damage or heavily used.

Either way there is a good chance you will have spent $200 + on cases and then buy bearings on top of that and then they could still be junk/damaged.

It's also cheaper to buy a complete running motor for $600 then to spend $200 on cases + bearings plus... gaskets, labor, machining, whatever else may be needed.

ive seen em sale on ebay for around 100, but there again you dont know if there any good til you get them. ive got a right side case if interested but no left
