the last line is right...

"It was nice while it lasted"

filling up from half now costs me at least $70, when i got my lisence ONE YEAR AGO, 50 bucks would be more than enough to fill me up from half.

This sucks.

When I started driving, it costed me around 35-40 bucks at best to fill my tank up. Now it cost me around 60 bucks.:ermm:

do you guys want some french cry's with your wahburgers? Seriously, *****ing about gas prices all day aint going to make them cheaper. Also I'd like to throw in another "waahh". The US still has cheap gas. The rest of the world is paying upwards of $10 a gallon.
/end rant.

Well the gas in the rest of the world is more expensive also because its way better quality. Regular here is 87 octane if im not mistaking. In europe regular is 96 octane and super is 99 octane. Yes the prices are still way higher but by the way the gas prices are going up it might be even soon even with the worse quality gas.

Can you read? I'm obvisouly the one that doesn't care that gas is 4 bucks a gallon. You guys are the ones that post threads all day long complaining about gas, every forum in the US has atleast ten "Gas is to expensive because I was stupid and bought a v8 when I dont need one" threads a day.

But hell, I can play the F off game too.
You dont like paying for gas? Then stop driving.

You know the octane doesn't matter that much when you talk about 99 octane. Hell, put some 110 in your daily driver and watch it run like ****.

you young kids shouldn't really complain going from $50-$70. When I got my license in the mid 90's I could fill up my car for $10. Now my truck costs me $80. Bigger tank but still 4 times the cost. lol

Agreed! Anybody still paying for this high gas doesn't seem to have a very big problem with it. Walking is still legal and free.

Honestly not an option. It would take me 10h 18m to walk to work 1-way. ;) In order to work an 8 hour day, I would need a day to last about 38 hours. ;) 10.3 + 8.5 + 10.3 + 0.5 + 8.0

But, in all seriousness.. I have a 4.0L inline 6 and I spent $520.00 on gasoline last month. 10 years ago I spent an average of $115.

As the end of last month I was forced to quit my second job working with Elementary School Kids afterschool M-F (which I have done for years) because I had to drive to downtown to my day job in order to make the schedule requirements. However w/ gasoline in the $4 range it was costing me more to work the 2nd job than I was making at the 2nd job.

I am now taking the Metro into town for $70/mo.

I'm not a piss & moan person. I adapt. But, because of the increased fuel prices and the fact that I had to adapt, those 65 kids are going to have some fastfood reject mentoring them instead of a fulltime professional who actually cared.

I beleive the true and ultimate cost of the soaring fuel prices will start to rear it's ugly head here real soon, and people will put their foot down. We'll adapt, but at what cost?

1. I bought my BMW myself, 2. my car looks like this at the moment. http://img241.imageshack.us/img241/4374/motorsmt7.jpg 3. your a moron. Also, I
bought the first one for only 5k, then I got in an accident, then I bought the one I'm swapping the motors in for only $1500. Thats probably alot cheaper than what you payed for your truck.

Hell yeah its alot cheaper. They all went out and bought trucks that RAN. Around here BMW's have always been real cheap for the high milage ones. They require some $erious maintanance once they get alot of miles on them. Quit bragging because you bought cheaper than someone else.

I'd have to get 230 mpg to get by w/ $40.

I figure running the I-70, I-35, I-29, I-670, MO-71 downtown loop during rushour on a motorcycle is probably a really bad idea.. LOL. ;)

Who said anything about my cars not running. Both ran. I also didn't know 50,000 miles was a lot of miles nowadays. Oh god I love the ignorance.
