starting issues

i think it is a solenoid problem because when i try to start it after a while i hear a staticy noise from under the seat. it turns over, but when i try to jump it from a car it will run, but as soon as u unplug it from the car, it dies. it is having trouble sparking. how do i check for some signs of something being dead or being out of wack? like i said, it turns over so it could be a spark plug wire or a spark plug, or a solenoid.

You most likely have multiple problems. The battery and the charging system. When you jump start from the car, would indicate a bad battery ot related problem. When it dies, when you remove the jumper cables indicate the failure of your ATV charging system. If you are still having problems now let me know and I will tell you how to troubleshoot.
