What is the best way to cut off the knobs? They are a set of Kenda Knarleys.

horse hoof trimmers as stated above.. I got mine at tractor supply for about $10 work great, much less time than a groover

I strictly run AMA hillclimbs. AMA doesn't allow paddles in amature racing. The dirt bike guys run there tires like this and dont seem to be hurting for traction. After doing a couple holeshots I'm going to have to regear.

Another
so you got more traction with less tread?

WOW! Way more traction. But this is really only for straight line racing. Wouldn't be good at all going around corners.

yea he prob does get some pretty mean traction liek that... it gived the knobs a chance to really dig into the dirt where as with all the knobs on it would rather ride more on top of the dirt instea of dig in...
i bet ya razr 2's done liek that would hook up realll mean

You ought to see the roost that comes off these tires.

What tool did you end up using?

First I cut off the knobs with a plier type ( I think for cutting fence) tool and then I used a tire buffer. It took me about 2 hrs. But well worth it. It sounds awesome rolling across the concrete. I have a climb this Sun. in Goshen IN so I'll see how well they work. My buddy had the buffer but this picture is from ebay.
