I saw this on another site and thought it was pretty cool stuff so I thought I would share.

Our time has come as we line up at the gate,
theres fears inside of us that we can't underestimate.

The board goes up and we get ready to go,
next as the board turns we tense up to put on a show.

Finally comes the girl runs off and the starting gates drop,
hundreds of people cheer from the stands atop.

Battling for the holeshot as we go into the first turn,
some of us lean too far and our legs get a burn.

By now we're in the whoops and hitting the first jump,
Some of are already experiencing a little arm pump.

Through another set of whoops and around a big berm,
flying down the straightaway and into the next turn.

Sliding around it sideways and heading towards the six pack,
we all are hoping not to case and give our nuts a rack.

Going into the next turn after landing the third double,
we all slide sideways hitting the next jump without trouble.

Now on the long backstretch and hammering the gas,
we're all still battling and on each others ***.

Slamming on the brakes getting ready to launch the step-up,
flying over the peak and landing without a mess-up.

Now is about the time where we start to pull away,
others get stuck behind because they hit a bail of hay.

We've reached the front and everybodys watching with thier eyes,
because we're battling and passing since we're the fast guys.

Launching the next double and around the turn to the step-on,
landing correctly or wrongly will decide between pro and con.

After two more doubles comes a really big jump,
its a great big triple, so hope your quad don't take a dump.

One more double then its time for the biggest of them all,
a huge tabletop, jump it perfect or you will probly fall.

As you soar through the air you look over at the crowd,
damn, first place, you just made your friends proud.

Motocross Is The Life For Me

I have a bike that is so fine.

With soft caresses I make it shine.

We have practiced hard all week.

Times we were slow and times we peaked.

Laying foundation for the test.

Hoping on race day I will do my best.

This bike does break each time I crash.

Each part is like gold, taking all my cash.

We love the time we spend together

In the garage or on the track, we seem like best friends forever.

I count on you, you count on me.

Together is where we want to be.

Race day has finally come.

I sit on the start line hoping I won’t do something dumb.

Out front is the only place to be.

As I am obsessed with winning as you will see.

Sometimes I wonder if this obsession is right.

But I know how it feels cuddling with my trophy at night.

This start is a little tricky to manage.

But, I make it through without any damage.

Leading the pack gives me a feel like no other.

Happy, scared and my heart beating like thunder.

Try to focus on the track.

This is hard with 10 guys on your back.

I am flying through the air just like a bird.

I wonder if my laughter can be heard.

Roosting through the berms like a rollercoaster ride.

I take a look back at the dirt flying with great pride.

Leading the race starts to play with my mind.

The pressure you feel is really not kind.

I tell myself, “it’s just me & the track, race your race”.

This should be enough to earn me first place.

I thought the pressure was tough and now comes the white flag.

Can I keep up this pace, and can I maneuver each obstacle without a snag?

I can see the checkered flag; what a beautiful sight.

I think I love you as much as my bike.

Fear has left my mind.

As I cross the finish line.

Maybe it is time for a clicker.

As my ego couldn’t be much bigger.

Oh boy do I love to race.

Even though, dirt is all over my face.

Playing in the mud was never so much fun.

Especially, when you are number one.

I carry my trophy back to the truck with pride.

My happiness I surely cannot hide.

Wow did that feel good.

Just how I thought it would.

one i just finished up ....anyone know where the pitboard saying comes from?

sitting here behind this gate
my heart pounding i can hardly wait

for the gate to drop and to dump the clutch
launching off the line is such a rush

the scream of the 2 stroke into the 1st turn
the holeshot you must earn

braking late and gassing early
the 1st turn is always squirly

you hit the 1st jump and soar through the air
being up here without a care

flying high for the fans to see
now you are truly free

land a little crooked but hard on the gas
you have to be with all these guys on your ***

with sponsors watching your every turn
you throw a little roost off the berm

now you begin to open a lead
but staying smooth is what you must be

over the finish line you soar
"show some heart" on the pitboard

as the laps wind down you begin to wear out
but not enough for what your thinking about

how good that trophy girls gonna smell
with your 2 stroke blowing through her hair

the white flag comes out
one more lap to hang it all out

this is your race
you've set the pace

the checkers fly to the podium you head
thinking about that trophy girl in your bed

with a MONSTER in your hand and the SMITH's round your neck
she doesnt even care about your stinky sweat

as you walk to the pits with a mighty grin
out of the factory rig steps this man

he gives you a card and says give me a call
we liked what what saw, you never dropped the ball

now the day is complete
168 more hours before you compete

to work, train and prepare
so all the other riders can stare

as you line up next week
on a factory ride, looking so sweet
