is the factory overheat light still intact? mine has never kicked on on my 07, and I ride it HARD or not at all....

Is your header glowing red?

Ya its rare for the fan to kick on in normal riding situations.

According to my trail tech PC the fan on my 05 kicks on at 212F.

Normally runs around 170-190F, all depends on outside temps though.

I wish my 400ex ran that cool! In liquid cooled motors does engine ice help out that much?

When I switched to engine ice the temps didn't change at all.

Was riding yesterday in 90-95F temps and super humid out. Riding hard in sand and direct sun engine stayed in the 200-210 range, fan kicked on a few times.

I run engine ice and my fan is grounded so it runs all the time. No problems what so ever.
