Well, I was going to wait to post pics of my additions until I did some engine work, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen this summer. Sooo....here's the new looking rear end. It's a plus 1-1/2" ladder-bar design swingarm from SLC Quad Customs. I had it powdered a metallic pearlessence white (it doesn't really show up in the pics very well). It's fairly similiar to the pearl color on an Escalade, just with a little more metallic flake in it. I can tell the difference off the line, and I also really like how it handles on hill climbs.
I also painted up some of the extra's in a blue metallic paint I got from an Industrial paint store. I know the paint will chip fairly easily, but it was all very easy to paint, so it won't be hard to touch up or completely repaint. I'll eventually get aftermarket parts powerdercoated, but for now, the stock ones with a little bling on them work just fine.
I also had them weld two extra brackets on it. The first is a set that sit below the carrier that will allow me to easily mount a Banshee skid plate for rock/trail riding, or remove it for sand. On the drive side, I had them install a Banshee/Raptor chain guide mount that keeps the chain from bouncing against the arm.

You can see the additional brackets in this photo.

I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you ever plan on an aftermarket rear end, that you pull the swingarm bolt now, grease it up with a marine grease/lube (or something non-water soluble) and throw it back in. It is a huge pain in the a** to get it out if it's stuck in there.

The blue sure looks better than the crappy stock gray.

You can barely see the black chain guide in this photo. I ordered a blue one, but they sent me black, and I have no pics with the new blue.

Looks to me like you stold my paint, what kind is it? Quad looks great none the less and the ladder swinger makes it look different from everybody elses.

Paint the front hubs also and the heatshield.

I really like the bars. It was one of the best mods I did. They are the Pro Taper SE ATV mid-bend. It rides alot wider....kinda' feels like a chopper a bit. I'm definitely stretched out. It's definitely a different feel. Some people like to be on top of the bars, but I personally prefer to be set back with the bars in front of me. I can handle the 400 power from the "backseat". If it were a 450, I'd probably opt for a bar riser, and something not quite so "stretched".
The bar clamp was a mod quad (motosport # MQ-BC-4EX05-KEY). It allows you to use the dummy lights, and just moves the keyhole forward of the barpad. It was pretty easy to put on, and it turned out really nice.

You can see in the lower few pictures I did paint the front hubs. The first few pics I hadn't quite yet. I'm not quite sure on the heat shield yet. I personally don't care for painted shields, although that may change.

That's most assuredly on the list. I don't want to paint the frame until I'm ready to yank the motor and put my stroker in it (or whatever I decide to go with).
I think about the only thing I've got left is a new rear axle & carrier, and we are about wrapped up with everything but motor work.
Thanks all for the thumbs up. I sure wish the texture of the carbon fiber plastics as well as the metallic tint to the arm and parts would show up in the pics....it sure makes a big difference. Digital cameras are sure convenient, but they sure take junk pics.
:D

Now I see it, Have you thought about a chrome axle that would make the rear alot cleaner?

Ummmm.....

:blah:

LSR rear axle and carrier is on horizon for me. Well, at least I think it's going to be an LSR. As far as carriers go, I'm not super convinced that there are really any "bad" carrier's out there. I might go mod quad just to save some dough. They all have similiar bearings, just the mod quad is $100 less. More dough to save up for motorwork.

I'm sure I've seen your bike pics before, but refresh my memory.....I did actually model it from a bike I saw on this site, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't yours.
