adding clear coat after sanding down to vin numbers?

I have a powder coated 250r frame. I removed the paint to the bare metal on the vin tag because I needed to see what the vin number was so I could insure my quad. Is there anything I can spray on so it does not rust and also still leave the vin numbers visible? is there like a can of spray on clear coat spray paint I can buy?
