seems like a good deal, you could try for lower though.

They have a black 07' s.e. 450er at my dealership over here and their still asking $7,000 for it. We don't have sales tax here either though and I didn't try and talk them down cause i wanted a kick start model and they only had two of them left and they where both 08's.

I'd at least see if they will come off it a little more. Worst that can happen is you still have to pay 6K (which isn't too shabby).

the original price he gave me was $6070 out the door. i got him down to $5995 out the door full of gas and 20% off all riding gear for 6 months. i put a deposit on it and they are holding it till my parents get in to cosign on it.

another quick question... is there anything i should look out for with the 07? any recalls? also ive been searching is there any free mods i can do that wont void my 6 month warranty?

My 07 had a starter gear recall but if im not mistaken if yours falls into that vin number range that needs it then they have to fix it before it leaves their shop?

they only came down 75 bucks from asking price

and most dealerships offer 15-20% off ride gear for monthly specials (dealer here gives 15% off 2nd tuesday of every month)

I bet you can get them down a little more, if your financing through them they will be getting some more profit off that

bad thing is the 06-07-08 have had very limited changes so the 06-07's are holding value because they are still the
"latest greatest"

if they dont want to come down on price you can try to get them to throw in the hrc kit (it dont void warranty)
but it boosts power on the 06 and up real nice
(better than 20% off gear)

well his starting price was just a little bit over 6500. i dont remember the EXACT price just a little over 6500. and i was talking to him and he came down to 6070. out the door. and i told him the only way i would buy the thing is if he was under 6 and he said 5995 and i told him i was thinking more like 5900 and he started laughing and said thats 170 off of my lowest price and that he had to make money too. and i said yeah you do. but also i seen the invoices for them at another dealership and he actually sold the thing about 100 LESS than the invoice. the other dealership i went to told me that they couldnt even come close to touching it for that price. no where near it. they said congrats i know you will like it and sorry we couldnt beat their price.

invoices are not the bottom dollar that the dealer has in it

I think for less than 6k out the door your getting a fair deal
(as long as they dont start adding fees, for adds, prep, destination......... etc.)

they have a long list of items that they use to get proffits

I paid 7k for mine out the door w/hrc kit
(got it in feb 06, right when the new model came out)
