I'm planning to build a hybrid quad and wonder which engine you guys thinks has the most horse power and still pretty reliable. Probably will be in a 250r chassis. Thinking of cr500,kx500,xr650r,KTM550 etc what do you guys think will have the most power and run the best . Looking to make one flat out bad a.... quad any ideas thanks Mark Also i'm in Texas so if any1 has a tricked out chassis complete close buy send me a pic etc and price and i'll check it out thanks

if your building a hybrid bike and want raw power but want to still use it on the trails and not just the dunes drop a 600 class streetbike motor in there. try like a cbr600rr or a ninja 600r. easy to find and extremely powerful. might even be able to take it to the mx track with a 600 class motor in it... hmm i wonder.

I own CR500R and XR650R motorcycles. I wouldn't want the CR500 engine in a quad. The vibration is killer. It's a very strong engine with gobs of torque. However the XR650R engine is no slouch either and much smoother.

yeah i just sold my motarded xr650r and owner a 85 CR500 beast a few years back. So i guess the question is to go 4 stroke or 2. Also if any1 in texas has a nice tricked out roller minus the engine let me know might be interested.
