700 compared to a 660

i have ridden atleast 4 raptor 660's and im not impressed with the handling or the power even though these were stock 4 wheelers....my buddie is buying a 07 700r....how nice is this 4 wheeler...ive heard alot of good about it but never ridden one. how does it compare to a 660 in speed and hanlding????

Stock for stock the 700 will walk away from the 660.

handeling is great. They lowered/widend the 700 so it isn't so top heavy. I sill suggest a person widen it out another 1-2" as its still a bit top heavy stock. But a great machine for sure!

iv rode both, the 660r feels like it has a lil more bottem end then the 700r but thats it lol

I've OWNED both and the 700 dominates the 660 in every way.. Not knocking the 660 but the 700 is just that much more refined. It's hands-down my favorite quad I've ever had (vs Raptor 660, YFZ 450, '88 250R, warrior, etc)

Yeah run a couple w/ the LTR and wasnt much of a race. Buddy got one w/ GYTR pipe and Power Commander. Ill take a piped 450 of any kind over it.

ive smoked evry 450 i ever raced with my raptor 700 with paddles n sparks intake n exhaust with a power commander i take my raptor over any 450

I've got both a 700 raptor and a YFZ 450 and prefer the 700 because of my height.. others like the feel of the 450s better. Its just a personal choice and what you want to do with the quad.

Another thing is, when your at the dunes it dapends on what paddles your runnin, mostly everyone here runs itp standstar rears witch suck balls personly but iv raced a stock 700r raptor with unknown paddle/tire size vs my stock ds450 with 20x10x10 10 paddle haulers and spanked it badly, but overall its gotta be yam's 2nd best quad behind the yfz
