i'm having a serious problem! i bought a motion pro flywheel puller to pull the flywheel on my 400ex. i coated the threads in grease and started tightening it up and it striped all the threads out and now the puller is stuck in the flywheel. anyone ever had this happen?

Yeah those things are crap. I know they are designed to mess up before the flywheel does but they could have gone with a little harder material. I got it out, tapped the flywheel, bought a grade 5 bolt, and took it off finally. Also if you lightly tap the flywheel while you are trying to take it off it comes off a little easier.

i got the puller out with an impact. i think i can pull it with a steering wheel/harmonic balancer puller. i noticed the ring of alan head bolts and managed to get 2 of them out so im going to try it this way. it might be a more effective way of pulling it anyways.
