do i need a new crank?

i think my crank bearings went the other night and i called a local engine place and they said i needed a completely new crank. are they right?

why gives you the idea your crank bearings went out? thumping, high vibration?

i already know what was wrong, crank bearings went and took out the crank piston connecting rod timing chain oil pump and tranny

yea a little less then a month ago my engine bit the bullet as well, would run then abruptly would stop, took out the oil filter and had a load of brass metal from the crank bearings, replaced everything and got a ice cube kit
