I have an 08 yfz and I'll be putting a pipe on it soon and i was highly considering a gytr slip on. i wont be replacing the header pipe so im deff. getting a slip on. I wanna kno what you guys think of gytr slip ons good or bad and if bad can you give me other options?
Thanks.

if you are getting a full system go with the gytr race pipe i have one on both my yfz's and it pulls harder than any other pipe for the yfz. if you are getting a slip on i had a hmf before i had the full system gytr.

I got a yoshimura rs2 and I am extremely happy with it. It pulls hard in every gear and is not overly loud.

i think that the HMF is a good slip on...

honestly though, the gain over a slip on and just taking the baffle out isnt as much as you would think... pulling the baffle out and the lid off is night and day difference over stock, after re-jetting of course...

I have never seen a no baffle pipe sound very good though. Usually rattley/raspy

ya i have the baffle out now an it backfires alot and yfzrider310 i was lookin into yoshis too, would you reccomend them over a gytr? because the thing i read online said with a gytr you get 5.5 additional hp and 25% increase on bottom end and 20% on top end. im just really curious as too whats the best because pipes are kind of expensive and i dont wanna be dissapointed.

well I got mine for 279 brand new off a site I dont remember. I guess I would recommend it I rode my friends with a gytr full exhaust and our bike our mostly the same and mine pulls harder in every gear and once it gets to fifth it just seems to keep pulling. So far im happy with it and its only a slip on so i am impressed with the power. Its pretty quiet until it gets up past half throttle then it sounds good. But not to loud. Its perfect.

We run a DMC on ours, it's loud :( but in the HP gain comparision it was the top one I do believe, my son runs local Pro flattrack w/ just that slip on & the timing mod & he wins some & keeps up right behind the HIGHLY modified ones, he always has the guys asking what mods he has done LOL:devil:

i didnt mind mine... $200+ is a lot to pay for sound...

the thing i liked most about just having the baffle out is lining up next to piped bikes and smoking them... there is no mistaking that big ugly black stock canister...

in fact, i have considered putting my stock pipe back on for that reason... i love having the sleeper and love pissing dudes off at the hill... cuz i know if i was getting beat by a bike with a lot less $ into it than mine had, i would be getting pissed...

http://www.motoxoutlet.com/

greatest site for aftermarket exhaust. I bought mine and I came professionally packed from the yoshi factory. Really good deal also saved me about 70 bucks off retail.

I hear there poor quality but if its good on your raptor it should be good on a yfz.

I have the new GYTR ti full system, I actually took the GYTR header back off and used the stock one. The stock one is noticably faster on my quad but i also have a stock motor and timing. As for slip ons, HMF is hard to beat but if you go with a full system get the Duncan Fat Boy 4, it sounds so good and gives way more power than what it's credited for.
