need a little help in removing flywheel cover

I am trying to remove the flywheel cover and it doesn't want to come off. Do you have to disconnect the starter from the engine case? I have removed all the bolts on the case but it doesn't want to come off.

there should be two tabs along the gasket area lightly tap those with a flat head screw drive and hammer. Remember lightly and go back and forth between the two and it should pop right off!!

Thanky GNCCER but do you have to remove the starter?

It makes it easier if you take the starter completely off not hard to do just remove the two bolts that go straite down into the motor on the right side of the starter. You also have to remove the two bottom bolts on the starter cover they help hold the sidecase on.
