Its so hard to pile up dirt and put the landing in the perfect spot. I
am thinking about building a metal or wood launch ramp I can move around and will be strong. I have recently learned how to use a stick welder but would feel better using wood. Does anyone know where I can see plans or directions on building a ramp? I appreciate the help.

Well I asked wired... if it would be a good ideah to try to use wood and he said that it might not be strong enough. If you do he said to me make sure you support the **** out of it. It would probably be better with the metal.

build a wooden ramp and a steel ramp and see which one lasts and doesnt cave in

how about combine the two ideas and making a ramp with a wood and metal structure. Make a wood ramp then reinforce it with some more wood than build a matal frame around that wood ramp.

rule of thumb for landing ramp. 'better to land to far than to short' id rather bottom out than case it

i dont know what the point is but you cant make up your mind of building either a wood or metal ramp so comprimise and compine the ideas. Theres no point its jsut an easy wya of making the desision.

Just make a metal ramp.. It will cost more but last longer.. So it will probably save money in the long run. As for specs id ask wired.
