View Full Version : cut the wiring harness

ok i want it all gone. key, lights, all the other usless crap. but i got a few questions. i cut all the tape off and stuff. there are like wraps where the wires have been spliced together i guess. can i cut them out. also like on the key can i just unplug it and cut it out or do i have to splice something together? thanks. any help will be helpful

is there circuts and stuff? like if i cut out the tail light do i have to splice the ends together or just cut them completly out?

do u need the carb heater and tps sensor in a 05 carb? can i cut them out to?

Screw the carb heater and keep the tps. If you don't have a head light you can run a fan circuit right off your alternator in line with your thermostat and ditch your battery

i have ditched all my electrical on my race bike... the only wires on the hole bike are to keep it running... the wires that go from the cdi to the coil and that other weird box with the fins.. i unplugged everything.. nothing to the carb..

well i just did a basic chop up lol. i kept the fan, the temp light and the wires that make it run.question l, like when u cut out the brake light do u have to slice the wires back together or are they fine

ok i shorten'ed the plug in that goes to the fin thingy on the sub frame (this on a 2005) and i didn't label my wires when i cut them. and i looked at the wiring diagram, but u can't see which wire goes where. any help? anyone got a pic? does it matter where they plug in?
