Alright..basically i need ur input on what kind of atv i should buy for my gf..
shes 20 hasnt ever rode before except around the yard on my 400ex..
she doesnt care much for shifting hehe

id like for it to be decent on speed though i dont want to wait up all the time
but anyway id like ur input on a nice atv for her first time
what would u prefer if u were just starting out

also lets go with low price..it wont be anything brand new..im young and not rich i gotta pay for this outta my pocket

i was thinking something like a blaster but..its 2stroke and kick start plus 6 speed..even though they are really cheap
so i guess a 4 stroke would be best for her and something like semi automatic..

opinions?!?!?!!?

I am deff. not female but i am this same situation with my wife. I have come to the conclusion a scrambler 4 stroke 500 or 400 is def. the way to go. She will have a fully automatic machine yet she will still have the option of 4x4. They are still pretty sporty, relatively maitnance free, And i just bought my 02 500 4x4 for just a tick over $2000. Not sure how much you want to spend but you can find a nice 98 or so for around $850 to a grand. Check your local c list

i would go with the 250ex. the polaris scramblers are tanks to big and heavy for a women i would say. They are rated at 571 pounds which is 200 more than the 250ex that would be like you riding double with her. And if they had a roll over it wouldn't be pretty. a 250ex is smaller and sportier easier to handle. I have heard the suzuki 250 is a little better though I like hondas.

I got my girlfriend a 4 stroke and she is soo enjoy her time of her life riding it. I think for a start, 4 stroke would be good enough..

I bought my wife of 28 a blsater and she loved it. Then after about two days she rode a banshee now she won't ride anything else. Had the blaster two days now it has not been ridden in six months. The blaster was the first quadshe has ever rode in her life. I do have it for sale for $1700

if still want input!4-stroke for sure,I have two daughters racing, one daughter started on 2-stroke dirt bike, moved to quad minis first cvt 2-stroke then mod mini with 2-stroke dirt bike motor, she now races 300ex and loves it.My other daughter raced cvt 2-stroke,said she would only race a larger cvt she did not want to shift.gave her 300ex she adapted well won a series, now runs a 400ex,were putting a big bore kit in it.So maybe have your girl friend put more seat time on 400 and it might grow on her.good luck hope we could help.scott

I started my last gf out on a blaster. after a few months she started riding the 450R. she rode the 250r a few times, but it always scared the **** out of her... and forget about getting her on a zilla :D
