Well I can't help you with photos from the U.S, but I'd like to show you some from my county - Israel.
This league called G.M.A Couples League. The competition here is to win, but in couples. One rider start, when he gets tired he go into the pits, and his fellow rider go instead.

Of course, There are all the kinds of ATVs in there, not only DS450. There are Outlaws 525, 450, IRS, KTM 525\450, DS650, DVX400, YFZ (only one :ermm: ), TRXs etc.
This is XC race ;).

Thats really cool. It looks like CAN-AM is very popular over there. How long is the race? Over here there is a series called the WORCS and it has one hour long races, and the pro-main is 1 1/2 hrs long. Then there are races based on miles, like the baja 1000.

Well, since we don't have too much racers here, there are only 3 classes - Beginners, B - Which is like XC2 +\- in the GNCC, and A - Which similar to GNCC XC1. A and B classes does like 2 hours and a half. Beginners does 1\2 of it - 1 hour and 15 minutes.
And yes, the Can-Am is very popular here. Look at number 4, a yellow DS, it's the champ of the couples league, name Eliko Ohana. His fellow rider call Tal Borohov.

mhill157 how do u like your front end set up. is it tough to dial in or is it pretty user friendly. i just order the same thing and it will be here this weekend what axle are u running in the rear.
thanks

mhill157

I love the front end, is very easy to set up. The fine tuning takes some time because there are so many adjustments you can make. I am running a rpm axle.

mhill157 i just put on my shocks and aarms its just like yours and i was wondering does your tie rods touch or hit the bottom part of the evol chamber.

mhill157
06-17-2008, 05:25 PM
I had to put the evo chamber to the front like they say to for jb a arms. If you look at any pics of ds with Housers you will see they do the same thing.

Don't worry that scared me too at first.

it is awsome not only do they take the big jumps it helped with my handling. im twice as fast in the woops they are an all around big improvement. money well spent

mhill157
07-06-2008, 07:15 PM
Couldn't agree more. Did you ever get Houser's adjustable steering stem, Because that works perfect with that front end. Less fatiguing.

Those are factory Kayaba or KYB. They make the stock shocks for the DS and these are only available to Can-Am teams.

If you look up by the front shock reservoir it does look like there is a peice of what might be either an alloy fuel tank or overflow bottle hanging down from under the plastic.

hey mhill157 im thinking of getting a houser stem and was wondering if u could measure from the bottom of your handle bars by the clamp to the top of the plastic on the fourwheeler.

Look at any of the warnert or epic race quads. They all have the heat tape. Keeps the gas tank from absorbing heat from the motor.

The front bumper on the Epic quads is neither Tag nor Pro Armor. That is the DG bumper that they built for the mx quads that have to run front number plates. The original design blocked too much of the radiator.

i would say your both wrong i think its pro aluminum they have one just like it in the tucker rocky mag.

Not starting an argument, but you aren't clearing anything up.
http://img76.imageshack.us/img76/345/stilldh2.jpg

The bumper in this picture is a DG. That is my quad in the picture. With a differrent picture you would be able to tell. The DG is not one piece at the lower mounting point. Instead two seperate bars.

They are very similar, but this is a DG. The Epic team was sponsored by DG. They wouldn't run a pro aluminum.

Hah I was just joking around, but you think it's actually possible? Honestly though, I would rather see some more variations than a double. Scott Murray has almost made me tired of seeing it.

Wired
11-07-2008, 10:06 AM
yea its definitely doable. one thing i've learned about this sport is never say anything is impossible. you'll regret it haha

as for variations, rumor has it caleb has some pretty sick fliptricks to dirt. i've been working on no handed flips and stuff but nothing too big at the moment. now i got my own riding area next year is going to get crazy! i'll actually have some motivation to ride hard again.
