06 plastic on an 05

Has anyone replaced the entire plastic of an 06/07 on to an 05?

Everything bolts up but the headlight mount is different, you have to drill and tap 2 holes in the top of the frame for the mount and then all is good..

I was about to try to search for this but you seem to know so I will ask right here. :D

I want to put later model stock white (kicker) plastic on our 05 and we don't run the headlight so, is there any chance our Maier hood we run now will still mount up with the newer plastic?

it all works, just get ya an 06+ hood too. The only thing is the heat sheild under the gas tank holds the fenders differently. You can do a couple things, get an 06+ heat shield, get a jb tank bracket, or go cheap like me and if you pull the rubber grommet out of the 05 heat shield on the right side, the 06+ fender pops right in, then on the left side just hold it on with a zip tie.
