fcr owners

hey, i just ordered a fcr 39mm carb the other day. i was wondering, when you fine tune these things when you get them, do you usually have to mess with the main jet, or the needle position. i dont know if anyone within 50 or so miles of where i live carries the main jets, so i need to know if i need to order more or not. They are generally pretty close out of the box. You will most likely need to make some small adjustments to match your engine but it will be very "Ride-able" from the git-go....

As far as jets, they use the same as the stocker 400 carb.

thanks, i got it from sparks, do they put the jet in that they think will work w/ my settup/elevation?

I just picked up a used FCR39 this week, and took it apart to see what size jets were in it. The mains are the same, but the pilots are different than the stock carb. I would think that Sparks should be able to order the jets for you if you need them. It's always nice to have different size jets on hand though just in case.

if u need any jets at all, call Carb Parts Warehouse, (216)635-1099. when i got my fcr used, i called them and they helped me out, and even helped with suggestions on any problems i had. plus they have just about every jet u need. great place.

You are 50 miles for any quad/bike shop.

Any dealer has or can get jets of just about any kind.

the main jets anyone has, but the pilots are limited to a few shops. Most ppl have to get them direct from keihin, sudco, or the carb parts warehouse. Im running a 50 pilot in mine and a 180 main jet, it seems to work great, just gotta work out this little hesitation, think the air screw will fix that

theres a dealor about 20 miles from me, but when i went it there, he said that he could only get the stock size jets. he wouldnt even order them for me. what a jack@$$
