Hey guys, I asked some guys about this on BT but didnt get too much of a response, but how many of you guys went from a YFZ450 to a Raptor 700?

I'm going to get rid of the 450 I think, I dont race at all and I think i'd be happier with either a 400 or a Raptor...my biggest "fear" (if you wanna call it that) is that Im sooo used to the low, wide, YFZ450 that I'll never feel as stable on another quad...when I jump on my buddies Suzuki Z400 it feels so tall and top heavy to me, its ridiculous...I just dont feel nearly as comfortable. I'm sure with time I could get used to anything, but does the Raptor feel a lot taller/less stable than the YFZ450?

I've got +2 LT aarms and suspension on my YFZ450, so Im thinking of pulling that off the YFZ before I sell it anyway, so if I get a 700R I'll make it +2 a-arms and get an extended axle too...so I'm sure thatd help. Any input would be awesome guys, thanks.

If im not mistaken the yfz a-arms bolt right up to raptor 700 if that will save you some money. Unless your getting the 660.

Go 700r and never look back. There is nothing like the feel or raw torque and the sound of dual exhaust. :D

The 700 isnt as tall/tippy as it looks. It does feel a lil different then a 450, but I see it being an easy adjustment. If your going +2 I dont see it being an issue at all. If your looking for a good trail bike you cant beat the 700's loads of torque, F.I. and reverese. Also if your looking at an 08' they come with the 450 rezzie shocks, which is also a bonus. The non 08 SE's also came with them aswell.

the difference is noticeable, although the 700 doesnt feel near as tipsy as the 660...

yes, you will get used to it...

my YFZ felt SOOO weird coming off my 250r, but a weekend at the dunes and i felt fine on my YFZ...
