Change Main Jet with Carb on?

Just installed Trinity full system, 42 pilot and 155main. Took her for a rip and although it is loud, doesnt seem much quicker. I have a UNI filter coming and UNI airbox vents. I am wondering if I do need to go up a size to a 158 main can I not just remove the big plug on the bowl and change the main without removing the carb?

yup, i beleive there is a cap on bottom that you can remove to have access to the main jet only.

Thats good news. No way I wanted to remove the whole carb to fine tune the main jet!

With some practice and the right tools at hand, main jet swaps take 2 minutes. Great main jet access on the 400EX!
