imo scoops are scoops..its just a thin piece of metal to direct air flow..
nothing special about em imo.

In my opinion, MMF scoops are hands down the best. Unfortunately they don't fit with piggyback shocks and have to be modified for 450R shocks to fit . I tried Tinners for a while but, they are small and boxy looking. I finally settled on a pair of powder coated OMF scoops.

Many will argue that scoops are only for looks but, I feel that any additional air flow you can direct towards the oil cooler and cylinder fins can only help.

Your right. Any kind of extra airflow to things is all the better.

Does anyone have pic of OMF air scoops with 450r front shocks on a 400ex? Do you have to do any mods with 450r front shocks on a 400ex using OMF air scoops? I have 450r front shocks on a 400ex and don't want to buy air scoops and still have to mod it.

I got the CDB scoops. I cut the part on the rear off where they mount to the stock plastic. They are a pain in the a** if you have the reservoirs mounted where I do.

OMF or UM (both the same). i have a set and they seem to fit the body style of the 400ex perfectly.

off topic but,
were you able to get them on ok? I'm just wondering, if they were hard for you to get them on.

It wasn't too hard, would have been easier if we where at home instead of the race trailer at the track Saturday morning. :blah: haha

I personally am a big fan of the elka titanium ones with the fan built in that will practically ice the motor and make it amazing if you have the 583stroker motor in your 400ex like I do.

Be sure to put the infrared lens on, everyone knows how lame it is to take pictures of air scoops without it.

No dude wait for these ones I am going to show you they only cost about 800 bucks and then you have to get a special guy to hand deliver them because they are very fragile.
