parents left for florida wednesday, i have to run my moms restraunt while they are gone but every afternoon ive been getting busy working on my track well into the night, i have finished my whoops section and am working on a couple other cool things and a new much taller fmx landing .

here is what i got so far 10 whoops on 7 foot centers about a 5 gallon bucket deep.

Nice whoops. They are kinda small (no offense), but easily acomplishable.

haha post a picture of a whoop section and automatically every 12 year old on the forum thinks they are easy..... lol thats priceless

ill get some pics later today of the other parts of the track, the trees arent too bad close but they are there, but all the whoops are very straight and hard packed so it shouldnt be a problem.

you can look on youtube search Rootar and my videos will comeup of my track, from way back when i first started on it up until march this year, i change it alot. You can also search track and my user name on here and find countless threads with pics of my track and all the different times ive changed it.

Whoops that are a 5 gallon bucket deep might look easy on the internet, but it would be awfully hard to commit to those, especially on a quad.

Huh? I'm 21 and I've raced D23 before. I know how hard whoops are, and those are easy. Trust me I have also bent an axle riding whoops, and they were way bigger than those.

That whoops actually look pretty mean. Steep and close together is not an easy combination. I run a lot of SX/AX races and the whoops may look small but are nasty!!!

start of the new freestyle landing, i relocated it so i can pull my ramp back more than 55 feet and im haulling round haybales in on sunday to surround what you see here to help hold the dirt and not have so much wasted dirt with the dirt fall angle itll be 10 feet tall and 20 feet wide at the top when i finish it for now since my ramp is only 6 feet tall, im planning on building another ramp (fullsize trailer setup), add the 2 feet onto mine, or do somthing either way ill easliy be able to add a few more feet onto the top of this landing and have a 12-13 foot tall fullsize landing later this year.

this is coming out of the berm after the whoops, its a table to table for pitbike or a big single to table for quads or big bikes. very fun section

Rootar
06-06-2008, 08:42 PM
neat idea i had for a corner its a roller that turn and has a small berm on the other side, its a blast to lock up the rears and slide over and then as soon as you come over the top just gas on it and rail it. just something different you know.

you can also see the table i slapped out for the pitbike also.

looks awesome:cool: Did you get dirt dumped there or did you scrape it up?

Rootar
06-06-2008, 09:42 PM
its all dug out, nothing hualed in, i did basically removed an entire HILL of dirt out of the woods also and put out there on the track.

i do think the pics are decieving to the actual size of things. hence the up hill looks tiny in the picture by itself, and in this picture it looks abit bigger dont it? maybe its just me.

this is the old up hill in this pic, from before i made the one dowhill i had two doubles going down the hill, but the up hill is the same size now as it was in this picture, well actually 5 feet farther but not enough to notice.

hahaha a lot of internet pros on here. Got any pics or vids of you doing them? Or a pic of the whoops atleast?

Rootar
06-07-2008, 08:11 AM
yea nick did you notice the internet pro that registered and made his 1st post just to tell me his whoops were gay  :o ....... some people

besides they cannot be that easy when you drag frame on our canam outlander just riding over them ;) so they arent THAT shallow. so any internet pro thats wants to come show me how easy my whoops are be my guest. we will video it and post it here.

here is a pic of old old whoop section i built a long time ago, they werent as nice as the ones i just built but they would throw you side ways in a heartbeat.

Psh those are pansy whoops Rootar. Grow a sack and make them 4' deep! haha

I have a lot of respect for ur track. Not many ppl know how much work it is to build a track like that. It takes many hours on the tractor and an assload of diesel!! Enjoy it man.

Rootar
06-07-2008, 10:13 AM
yea its lots of work but i enjoy wokring on my track, and at least offroad deisel is non-tax and 40 cents a gallon cheaper, i filled up our diesel can @3.99 a gallon thursday:ermm: its still cheaper than having to drive somewhere EVERY time you wanna ride.

I bunch of guys on pitbikes and big bikes are coming to ride today so ill have some pics and a video maybe tonight or sunday

His parents call him rootar? That's a little odd. What are you using to make that? Just a bobcat or you got yourself a dozer?

wow id love to have a track like that at my place, looks like a nice track.

and which way are you going over those whoops? in that 2nd pic, if you are going away from the camera, that looks like a nasty kicker right at the end.

Rootar
06-11-2008, 05:23 PM
im using a kubota 39L backhoe, i wish i could get ahold of a dozer or bobcat for a day though, and my name is in my signature.

and yes jesseweaver that is an extra tall whoop right at the end just to screw with people. lol gotta keep it interesting right.

I will post more pics tomorrow of the landing and im building a new section also.

we already rode it this past weekend and the whoops are HELL on the pitbike i ate it hard twice on sunday trying to go through them. the only big bike that came and rode really liked them and the big whoop at the end kept him on his toes forsure.
