Getting about 6 boxes of parts today and the MX build of my Outlaw 500 will begin! First ride on the track with all the new gear is scheduled for Sunday. I'll post some pics when I get them all on.

This is my MX conversion on my Outlaw as of Saturday. It went from BONE STOCK to this in one day. I LOVE IT!! Mods are in my signature.

The rear tires are not bolted on yet. I am waiting for wheel spacers because the dual beadlocks will not fit without them.

there are no ball joints on the rear. But it is more stress on the joints and bearings.

Well I got the spacers on yesterday. Each spacer is 30mm so a little under 1.2 inches wider on each side. It looks very different from the rear now but it will be really stable on the track and I
will be able to carve turns like butter with these 18 inch tires.

SSJeff- Do you think that 30mm on each side will be something I should worry about on this? I do keep everything greased up after every ride and I do jump this thing preety far on the track. I am just worried about something breaking.

So what do these bikes have back there??? heim jonts? they have to have something to allow the wheel to travel up/down

How wide is it now?

Nevermind I looked up how they are mounted, pretty interesting, i can see where its good at XC racing but it just seems somewhat pointless for MX, and adds weight, does it make the front end light?

If you do not do a whole lot of MX racing it is not pointless. It actually handles quite well. It lands amazingly well. It will save you if you are not landing correctly, on a SRA you could posibly wreck and the IRS would eat it up.

I am running stock wheels, 18 inch kendas that fit the 9" wheels and if I ever run a MX I will get some 1.5 " wheel spacers for the rear and leave the front stock. With the 1.5 spacers I will be at a little over 50". That is about right.
