crankcase oil for 250 ex

sorry to think up 2 things at once, but is it worth draining the rear end oil and replacing it? i haven't since i owne my quad (2 years) and don't know if it's worth it. if i slam on the brakes after going fast in my driveway, the gears grind lke crazy w/ out downshifting to neutral but that is normal anyway.

i would change it........and look for any metal

you can get gear oil and walmat for like $3

i actully meant the final gear box thing on the very back of the quad. i changed it and put in 3 oz. of 80w90. it says put 2.5 oz.'s at draining, and 3.4 at dissassembly, so i went btween the 2 and put 3.
