I stand behind Maxxis Razr's. Deffinately the best all around tire. Most racers I have talked to that had ITP couldnt wait until they got a flat or wore them down so they could put on Razrs. They switched to Razrs and wont run any other tire since. Maxxis makes really good stuff.

I have gncc rears. They have hella bite. It comes with a cost though. They are wearing pretty quickly. I had HD's on before and couldn't get any foward bite. I am pleased with the performance.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I hate Maxxis razr rears. I like the fronts but hate the rears, I had 20" razrs on my 400ex and they are too dang heavy so I put the stocks on. I had 22" razrs on my 250ex and it hardly went in the snow so I had to put on my stock 400ex rears. I'm loving my Kenda's so I would recommend Kenda Knarly's.

22" tires are heavy no matter what.

Actually I have two sets of these junk Razrs' I have 22" and 20"s. I will never use anything but a 18" again.

razrs are the best bang for the buck tire unless you want to ride mud/snow then get mudlites or dirt devils

I think the Knarly's are a better deal, cheaper and with the wide spaced lug they would clean out and probably perform better in mud and snow than a razr.

i dont get how oyu can say they are junk? yes they are heavier than stock because they are 1" wider and I'm pretty sure they have a thicker sidewall. But the handling you get with them doesnt matter so much. Take a crap or dont eat 1 more hotdog or something and your at the same you were before lol. Its so minimal. Yeah rotating mass and weight but what good does that give you if you cant get speed because you dont have traction? or you can tlside into the turns because the stock tires are tippy?

What I really didn't like was how the 20" stood the quad right on end every time you dropped the clutch on the gate. Plus 18" tires just fly better IMO. Then on the trails I didn't like the way they handled and on gravel they where pretty fishtaily. I mean if you like them go ahead and use them but I am just saying I'm never going to buy or recommend another set of Razr rears. I did like the fronts however. :D

don't forget razrs come in 4 ply and also 6 ply. 6 ply are heavier but more resistant to flats.

Here's the deal. The rear tires I have are the most copied tires ever made. The original Holeshots. I've had two sets of these and I will never go back to anything else. The first set lasted me 2 full years of constant riding, + rocks and pavement. For trail & MX riding they hook up great but still allow some floatation so you won't wheelie as hard at the start. And, instead of the angled side knobbies they are straight so you can power slide predictabley in the turns. GO FOR THE ORIGINAL, they roost!

I'd look at some Kenda tires myself, the Knarly's or the Claws? i think they're called. Both great tires. My cousin had the knarly's on his DS650, and they lasted a quite a while, if that says anything.

Also, to whoever posted about 20" tires "standing up" at the gate, did you ever mess with your gearing? Adding or subtracting 2" on your tires either way would throw the gearing off.

Anyway, I'd say look at the Kenda tires. they are CHEAP too, l ike 55 bucks each.

Only if your riding extreme trails should you be getting this tire. I'M around 250 and I can't make this tire slide. Barley, but I'm getting the ITP quadcross tire.

Well IMO i had a pair of 18" rear holeshots, and they were junk. Second ride out with them and they tore open 2" gash running between the threads. Plus for trail ridding 18" just isn't enough clearance, i was constantly draging the swing arm skid plate.
So i bought RAZR's all around 6 ply. Fronts 21" - Rear 20", and i love them. Hook Up like a mother (great for hill climbing) and the six ply will hopefully add some protection. They are a heavier, but i don't race mx so they are perfect for me. My next pair i might go up to 22" in the rear.

I think Kenda knarlys are good tires. I have them and they hook up good but you can slide real easy with them.

there are itp holeshot sr tires that are like 6 ply i think...i was thinkin of trying them...and also i saw that dunlop is making a new tire called the quadmax sport ...i'm not sure what the ply is on those...they may be for mostly mx riding???
