buffer and rubbing compound perhaps?

if its too deep, then sanding and paint is the only answer.

did you try and park sideways taking up more than 1 spot?

anyways...happened at seaside, didnt have much time to post up when i was at school.

i used Scratch X and it worked real well. just for future notice. it went to the primer so it was deep, but scratch x helped get it thin and less deep

Which 450?

scratch x is good stuff, but it will come back after a few months, you will have to do it again

no, i parked in the corner of the parking lot. why would i park perpendicular to the spots (ie. take up more than 1)?

because people with nice vehicles usually do stupid stuff like that so no1 hits it, but really it only aggrivates people and draws attention to it.

how long was it?

if you park far away sideways, there should be no problem, I park my new car diagonally in the corner of a curb so it will be really tough to hit it. Im afraid of door dings, considering my car is about as heavy duty as a coke can.

it wasnt like it got hit with a bumper or anything (its way to high first of all) and it was definetly keyed...scratch is probably about 2 feet long going from my drivers door to the back door (quad cab)

Reminds me of a high school memory. At the time, me and this one kid got in fights, back in forth. We got in a fight, and both kicked out. I was at the local pizza place, and he was parked next to me, when i came out, my truck, 03 2500hd on 35s was keyed, the WHOLE side. I got pissed, but I couldnt find him. I ran to him at the mall one day, in the parking lot, put my tire on his bumper, and nailed it, got all the way up on the hood and backed off. He got out, we got in a fight, I broke my hand, he broke his nose, and we both spent the night in jail, in the same cell. I payed for his damage, he paid for mine, we spent the night coming to an agreement, and 3 years later, hes my best friend, but now has a camaro, which btw, would be easier for me to drive up on ;) JP

Is that a place you frequent often? It sounds like something someone that has a grudge against you would have done. If you were parked normally, and didn't cut anyone off on the highway or anything, I would think the odds of an arbitrary keying on a fairly common vehicle would be slim.

i never go there. the place is kind of a dump (altho its getting a lot better) i was parked normally, i moved my truck at 10pm from a meter spot to the free parking lot 5 blocks away, i didnt feel like spending the quaters to be parked so close to the hotel.

the person who keyed it did it on purpose, without a doubt.

My old man has bad luck with people keying his vehicules. Back in '94 , his brand new 2 week old Dodge truck got keyed right down to the metal from front to back in a parking lot down in Toronto.

And then last year when he leased his new Dodge , it wasn't even a month old and someone took a key to the side of it in a parking lot here in town. '

Seems like some a-holes just like shiny trucks and love to take keys to them. :grr:

Or a better gun.

Give the people a reason to be afraid of you and you don't have to worry about your vehicle being keyed.
