Be sure to use an 80wt gear saver type oil. I highly recommend the Maxima MTL 80.

I used the Honda red bottle tranny stuff, and switched to Klotz tranny oil 80w. Seems to shift much smoother.

i was told to use the same oil that goes in the motor :/

You can use 10w40 in the tranny, but it's better to use a gear saver 80wt tranny oil. It's better and the great thing about the honda is that the two oils are separate and you can run a tranny specific oil in the gear box. Better for your gears and clutches to run the 80wt gear oil. Do what you want we're just here for advise :devil:
