Hey, I ripped the footpeg out of my frame. The bolts snapped off, and now half of both bolts are stuck in my frame. What should I do?
Will it be strong enough if I drill and tap it?
Should i get it welded?
Any other ideas?

BTW- I am running AC-racing pro-pegs.

thanks, Joe

get a set of easy-outs, they make pulling out busted bolt a breeze
you can pick them up at any hardware or auto parts store.

if enough of the bolt is sticking out stick a nut on it and weld the nut to the broken bolt from inside of the nut. the heat from the welding will make the bolt come out easier and the nut will give it a new head to turn it out with. i do it all the time works great

i would do that before using an easy-out. If you break an easy-out in the bolt (which is very easy to do) you are screwed.

The bolt is no where near reach-able, they snapped off deep inside, I think I am justing going to go to a welding shop and have them make it a real pro-peg frame by welding the AC pegs into the frame.
