i've seen a bunch of posts about this, but just wondering why you'd want your battery in the airbox?

i believe j450rking did this with his stock airbox. question for you.. are you planning on fabricating your own headpipes and modifying a slip on to mount on the left side? ive been toying with the idea of doing dual HMF's since i made an aluminum airbox.. im very interested to hear how you plan on tackling this.

I have seen duels on Ebay for a 400ex. Sparks I believe , though I could be wrong on the brand...

LTE makes a dual exhaust but for $700 i'd spend my money else where

im aware of the lte system, but that comes with an aluminum airbox, so im wondering if the op is planning on fabbing a custom dual exhaust system. im all into performance and handling, but im also into making things one of a kind, so i figured that nobody else has dual HMF's on their 400's.. i might lose a lot of bottom end, but i bet it would be a lot quieter while still keeping that hmf sound.

for trail riders, 5 extra lbs is a few more burgers and a few less craps.
